About

Check-In Challenge: Go Solo or With a Buddy Fourteen days. One simple habit: actually checking on people, starting with yourself. Most of us would show up for a crewmate at 3 a.m. and still not ask how they're doing on a Tuesday. This challenge fixes that. What it is: Not therapy. No BS. You'll learn a simple five-step way to notice, ask, listen, and follow up, plus a three-line check-in called Rose · Rough · Ready. Peers aren't counselors; this is how you stay in each other's corner. Go solo or with a buddy: Do it on your own, or invite a buddy to join the same program and compare notes. It's optional. Every step has a Solo version and a Buddy version. Use whichever fits your day. Nobody has to have a buddy to finish and earn the certificate. How it works: Each day you'll get a short message, a micro-action (under 5 minutes), and a tool. No lectures, no fluff. You don't have to be okay to start. You just have to start. Why it matters: Because a text from someone who gets it can change a bad night, and learning to ask is a skill you can practice alone. In an emergency, call 911. In crisis or having thoughts of suicide, call or text 988 (Veterans: dial 988, then press 1). Buddies are peers, not a replacement for professional care. If you're in crisis, call or text 988 — don't email.) Not therapy. Not medical advice. This challenge is general education and peer-style support. It doesn't diagnose, treat, or replace care from a licensed professional, and it isn't a crisis service — nobody at Critical-Run monitors messages or sign-ups. If something here brings up more than you can handle, stop and reach out. In an emergency, call 911. In crisis or having thoughts of suicide, call or text 988 (Veterans: dial 988, then press 1) — free, 24/7.
