About

Post-Call Decompression Seven days. Five minutes a day. The routine you'll want in your pocket on the worst night. Rough calls are part of the job. What you do in the next hour is something you can train — just like anything else on the rig. What it is: Not therapy. No BS. A week-long walk through the Post-Call Decompression Checklist, one piece at a time: breathe, ground, fuel up, check your crew, close the book, shed the shift, name it, and connect. By the end, it's a routine you can run when your head is a mess. How it works: Each day you'll get a short message, a micro-action (under 5 minutes), and a tool. You can practice after a real call or just practice — the point is to make it automatic before you need it. No lectures, no fluff — just real tools for real chaos. Solo or with a buddy: Do it on your own, or invite a buddy to join the same program and compare notes. It's optional. Every step works solo, and each one has a short "Buddy option" you can use or skip. You don't have to be okay to start. You just have to start. Why it matters: Because the call you carry shouldn't be the call that carries you. In an emergency, call 911. In crisis or having thoughts of suicide, call or text 988 (Veterans: dial 988, then press 1). This is education and peer-style support — not therapy or medical advice. If you're in crisis, call or text 988 — don't email.) Not therapy. Not medical advice. This challenge is general education and peer-style support. It doesn't diagnose, treat, or replace care from a licensed professional, and it isn't a crisis service — nobody at Critical-Run monitors messages or sign-ups. If something here brings up more than you can handle, stop and reach out. In an emergency, call 911. In crisis or having thoughts of suicide, call or text 988 (Veterans: dial 988, then press 1) — free, 24/7.
